About This Route
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is Austria's most famous scenic highway, climbing to 2,571 meters in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Named after Austria's highest peak, this 48-kilometer toll road features 36 hairpin bends, stunning glacier views, and marmot-filled alpine meadows. It's one of Europe's greatest driving experiences.
